Advanced Instruments Cryoscopy - 4250, 4C3 & Accessories
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Advanced Instruments 4250 Cryoscope
Fast, accurate measurements of added water in milk.
The 4250 Cryoscope from Advanced Instruments supersedes the 4D3 and Fiske Mark 2 models whilst maintaining all of the outstanding qualities of these cryoscopes; robust design, proven reliability and simple, rapid operation.
The 4250 single-sample cryoscope uses the industry standard thermistor freezing point method to precisely determine added water in milk. With its on-board sample identification, broad measurement range and optimal sample size requirement, the 4250 provides accurate results compliant with ISO5764 plateau-seeking mode. The 4250 combines advanced features with simplified operation - a low maintenance, reliable high performance laboratory instrument.
The 4250 can be used in many situations and environments. Results can be displayed as desired and results can be collected on a computer or connected to a LIMS system.
Quality management is improved by the 4250's unique key-switch, which allows the advanced set-up features and calibration modes to be locked out. In Operator Mode, routine testing can be accomplished with just two buttons; in Supervisor Mode, all operations are accessible.
Suppliers and processors can keep milk shipments moving while being assured that no added water has been introduced. Up to 35 samples per hour can be measured. The calibration procedure is quick and computer controlled - it will also detect and warn the operator if the calibration solutions are tested out of order. Settings are stored in a battery-protected memory. The 4250 also incorporates a new thermal printer.

Advanced Instruments 4C3 Multi-Sample Cryoscope
Accurate & Reliable Multi-Sample Testing
The Advanced 4C3 multi-sample cryoscope uses the preferred freezing-point method to precisely determine the amount of added water in milk, offering unique continuous throughput for maximum efficiency in large volume testing.
Batch testing is also efficient with the 4C3; samples can be prepared in advance and loaded into sample cassettes. When ready to begin testing, an operator can load up to four sample cassettes (holding up to 40 samples) into the cryoscope, press Start and walk away. The instrument automatically tests each sample in turn and records the results; keeping your cryoscope and operator working at peak efficiency.
The 4C3 offers an optional barcode scanner to automate positive sample identification and eliminate test result transcription errors.
The 4C3 is microprocessor controlled for simple, pushbutton operation. Extensive self-diagnostic and troubleshooting prompts keep you up and running.
Superior Results
The Advanced 4C3 freezing-point technology complies with both the International reference and screening method; delivering precise, accurate, repeatable and reliable results.
Positive Sample Identification
Available printer and RS232 ports from which, date, time, sample ID and test result can be reported.
Operator-selectable Options
Standard design includes m°C or m°H scales, timed plateau or plateau seeking modes, and four language prompts.
Calibration Ease
Simply load the calibration samples into the specially coded calibration cassette and calibration is automatically triggered to run unattended.
Fast Testing, Fully Automated
With the unique dual-stage, solid-state cooling assembly, testing can begin immediately. You don’t waste time waiting for your instrument to cool down.
Rewarding
The capacity of the 4C3 allows your lab to efficiently test and manage supplied milk in order to properly compensate producers, ensure quality products and profitable returns.
